Tanya Boya started out in the medium of watercolour and drawing. The first time she experienced the flow of paint on silk, her artistic path was transformed. In Asian cultures painting on silk is considered a spiritual art form. It is the interplay of the artist's state of mind and the flow of the water-diluted dye onto the silk. It takes years to achieve the perfect flow, it is a process of inner spiritual transformation and true understanding of how the artist is one with her medium.
